![]() I noticed there's a (new?) Segway dealer a few miles from me, in Elkridge, MD, but I've seen no representation from them on this board, and I'm curious to know if anyone has had dealings with them.
I'm going to be purchasing my first Seg this spring, and there are a number of dealers nearby. I'd prefer to work with someone local, for ease of service after the sale. I'm curious to know what kinds of deals are typical, what kind of discounts or extras are routinely included these days, if any. I'm not after the most rock-bottom price, as much as I'm after the best all-around package of price, service and reputation. Thanks, Dave |

![]() He is also a Segway dealer in Virginia, so he has plenty of experience selling Segways. His name is Bruce give him a call on 301.442.8576
In the DC Area we are very lucky to have a number of Segway dealers. Capital in DC, Tri-State in Leesburg and now Baltimore, Potomac in Hagerstown and Cumberland, Delmarva in Rehoboth, and Segway of Annapolis in Annapolis. You will see Austin from Potomac on Segway Chat, as well as myself (I am part time at Annapolis) but the rest seem to stay clear of the Enthusiasts. Some dealers have an aversion to Segway Chat, maybe because they are busier than one arm paperhangers. But a number of them do post on here. The Annapolis dealership has a number of Columbia area customers, and they love using them instead of their cars there. Actually we just sold one to one of the local politicos, who used a Segway during her campaign, and won on her stand on transportation issues. Also come join our DCSEG group - we have a large number of members in Maryland. If you PM me with your e-mail address I will send you an invite to our yahoo group. We get together for glides and are putting together a Segway Polo team.

![]() Bruce is a good guy... very easy to do business with. and no sales pressure to buy accessories that you might be on the fence about. He's also very up front about which accessories are good, which are weak products.
I bought an i2 for myself and an i180 for my wife from him at the Leesburg location. He gave us plenty of time to test ride the machines before we bought them, and then delivered them to the house for us, same day. |

![]() Sorry to go off at a slight tangent but are you suggesting there are more dealeers in the Baltimore area than the ones on Inc's website? I am in that area on business later this week and was hoping to pick up some accessories -which are rarer than hens' teeth in the UK.

![]() Apparently so if you just choose Maryland. Put in zip code 20740 and select "50 miles" and you'll see it.

We have a large number of Segway users in the area, thus the reason for the number of dealers. When anyone gets into the area, stop by any one of our local dealers! Or give some of our local members a call, we are always welcoming to seggers from out of town.
