Default Mild Winter glides

Thanks to a fairly mild winter. I just enjoyed a wonderful glide with Will and David who were visiting from D.C.

I hope everyone takes the opportunity to go out and glide if the weather is like fall.

Here in Indy, it was a comfortable high 40s and sunny. We glided around downtown, went to the Bejamin Harrison Mansion and grounds, and enjoyed a couple of stiff Irish Coffees at the Canterbury.

We also harrassed my girlfriend at the Starbucks!

Thanks all, and if any other Gliders are up Indy way, let me know.

-Sal

Glad to see the Segway is getting exercise, Sal. I use mine about every day but then I'm in San Diego instead of Chicago.
Bumped into another glider from Germany today at Cabrillo National Monument. On Friday I was at the zoo here. I'd like to have a dollar for every person that asked me where they could rent one. 100 acres of zoo space is just a breeze for a Segway.

Question

They're allowed at the San Diego Zoo?

Hey, Bob, welcome back. I was just thinking of you - like yesterday, wondering how you were doing, if you were still on the road with your motorhome, and if you were still loving it. How is the Segway holding out? BTW, where do you carry it?

You know that kid is going to be saying to his DAD, when are we going to get a Segway? And then of course harrasing Sal about great wedding locations, and having kids was fun too!

Indy is a great town to glide in! Lots of interesting architecture and history, and the people are allways friendly. And now the Segway of Indiana dealer is pro-enthusiast too, which makes gliding anywhere a real plus!

p.s. When the girl friend is not pushing caffine, she is helping gliders out at the local dealership! Congrats to her on her new Segway of Indiana job!

Brrrrr - here in Socal it's dropped down to low 70's the last two days with a forecast of high 60's this week. Keep warm!

Picnic on the beach yesterday!

No Segway - Still waiting for NH to fix my wheel.

Happy Holidays!

Segsby,
<<They're allowed at the San Diego Zoo?>>
With a disabled sticker attached.
For those that want to try this, make sure your sticker is legitimate and with cause!

Pam,

How's the weather your way. I may winter down there next year but San Diego is hard to beat. Lived on bluffs, seashores, deserts, mountains, forests, along small lakes, and yes, even overnighted in highway rest stops. I'm staying in SoCal until Feb. and then may start heading east.

Still in gypsy mode. Spent time in AZ last year, roamed CA and OR this season. Had a battery go bad in Newport and was Segless for three weeks. Customer service needs serious help at Inc.

Don't come up here to SC often anymore. It's only to see what is currently being posted and I find pretty much the same material we were talking about over the last 3 1/2 years. Too many experts here for me to put in my two cents in. I believe in the old adage that you learn little by talking instead of listening.

I carry it in the tow vehicle when exploring new regions and in one of the compartments of the coach when going down the road to a new and exciting area. Both have inverters.

I am using my last Segway, I think. The new model's features simply will not suit the needs I found so appealing with the four that I have had. Too bad but the new one, for me, is not as secure re. the movable CS; cannot 180 in place; cannot stay in place while I shoot photos, i.e., no hands because of its propensity to drift; is a little too heavy (by 20 lbs.) for me to lift.

Still in San Diego and enjoying the weather here than most of my old friends back east.
If you ever get this way, do not miss Balboa Park. It s HUGE and meant for a Segway. That was a lead to say that I saw an I-2 in the wild at the outdoor Sunday concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion.
Also have seen three in the RV park I'm staying at.
Please warm in up your way as I'm heading east though Yuma, Tucson, Forth Worth, etc. as I slowly head for my 50th reunion at Xavier in Cincinnati in late May.

Default San Diego

Hey, Bob,
We're coming down to San Diego next week to go gliding.
We'll do: the Zoo, Balboa Park, maybe Cabrillo Monument if we can find it. Any other suggestions?
